VLC in browser

Is it possible to have VLC play videos in my browser that i come across on the internet instead of quicktime?

Yes. Scroll down to the "Web browser plugins for 10.3.9, 10.4 and 10.5" section on this page:

Bear in mind that the latest version of the browser plugin is not up to date with the latest version of the player yet, unless you want to build it from the source code yourself. Also, you'll most likely need to go into the Quicktime section of your System Preferences and have the Quicktime plugin relinquish control of the media types you want the VLC plugin to handle.

eh thanks but i can't exactly do that. someone else should though (i'll give you a shiny american penny :D)
