I attend a university that isn't too Mac Friendly :(

A great majority of my academic content is recorded and placed on the university's website for our viewing pleasure, in WMV 9.2 format! Obviously, this presents a problem for my brand new macbook (which I'm loving btw).

A friend of mine was able to get said WMV files to play in safari web browser by downloading flip4mac, but for some reason, flip4mac won't work on my macbook. I'm assuming the reason has to do with his mac laptop being from a previous series.

I also installed Perian, to no avail. Jeesh!

What do you guys recommend :)
