Hiding Applications in App Folder

15.4" MBP, 2.4ghz Penryn, OSX 10.5.6, 200gb HDD, 4gb ram; 32gb iPod Touch
Hi. Is it possible to hide an application in the Applications folder but still have it accessible through Spotlight or Quicksilver? Thanks!

17 inch 2 GHz C2D imac (5,1) with 3GB DDR2 RAM, X1600 (128MB memory) GPU - OSX 10.6.3
Um I know I used to be able to make a file invisible but search for it in sherlock with the find invisibles potion on. Ah bot that's back in the OS 9 days. I'm not sure if spotlight has a find invisibles option.
