Excuse this question from a novice:

I have eventually managed to download some videos taken on my Sony DCR-SR72 Handycam to iMovies.

How do I now burn the movies, or parts of them, onto a CD?

Thanks

Imovie uses Idvd to do the burning. There should be an idvd button in iMovie. That will transfer your movie project to iDVD where you can add a menu to the start of your movies, and burn a disc

Thanks, but I need more basic advice. I found iDVD - it gives me four choices - Create a New Project; Open an existing project, Magic iDVD and One Step DVD.

Tried One Step DVD (connect to computer, switch on camera, make sure in VCR mode (what does that mean?) and insert blank disc. It then claims it rewinds tape (it is a hard drive, no tape), imports video (where to?) and then burns CD. Nothing actually seems to happen.

So 1) How do I burn onto CD the movies already in iMovies, and 2) Burn to CD those still on my camera?

Simple idiot guide step by step procedures would be much appreciated.

Thanks very much
