I open my hard drive on leopard and now I have a device called (idisk) which is associated with mobile me? How do i remove BOTH of these from my computer?

Well melow71 don't think you can. Got it also in a Software Update withoput asking which I believe is very wrong of Apple, or as other in Apple Discussion describe it, bogusware.

this is absurd, I am really surprised by this action. I don't want to use this software yet I am unable to remove it from my computer without harming the itunes software. This feels more and more like windows than it should.

The iDisk and .Mac (MobileMe now) have always been built into OS X. Just click and drag it out of the Finder side bar and it will go away.

To turn off iDisk:

1. Open Preferences and then Mobile Me.
2. Click on iDisk and choose STOP at the bottom of the screen.
