My MacBook Pro has recently started to eject CDs and DVDs almost straight after being put in.
They tend to do a bit of spinning and and drive makes its usual whirling noises but then it just spits the disc straight out! After 2 or 3 times it will finally acept the disc and off we go as if nothing had happened.
My first thought is that it the lense maybe needs a bit of a clean and I don't fancy taking the drive apart and cleaning it by hand, although it wouldn't be the first time i've dissected a Macbook Pro, so I figured that some sort of Head cleaning CD is in order.
Has anyone used one of these in a Macbook pro CD/DVD drive and if so what type and what was the outcome?
I'd rather do this at this stage before worrying about it being something more serious.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
