Today I downloaded the new 2.1 update and went to install it. After the back up it said "waiting for iPhone" then came up with the error message:
"The iPhone cannot be used with iTunes because the information required for activation could not be obtained from the iPhone. Check that the SIM card is inserted in your iPhone and that it is not PIN-locked."
I have never taken out the sim before and since the phone was deactivated during the install process i can only make emergency calls no place to put in a pin. What do I do? My phone is useless and I am in Ireland studying abroad until December.
