VW announced their beetle just about the time Apple introduced the multicolored G3 iMacs.

Both ads were casted with a white background and showing all the colors.

They are equally cute and can see how they have a similar cult following.

check out the "what do you drive thread".

answers are all over the place.

we've also had a couple related threads, like what car is a mac most like, and such.

the thing is a lot of computer people aren't "car people" in the same way.

some people want a mac because it does everything for them, and they don't have to think about much. someone like that could have anything from a big automatic bimmer to a ford focus.
some people have a mac because they're a bit different and perhaps make a statement about who they are - that could also be any number of cars - actually really almost anything outside of a chevy malibu/ford f150 in the states or a mondeo in brittan.

the questions are...
what do you drive, and what do you believe it says about you?
what do you compute with and what does that say about you?
are the first two related in any way?
and do you think purchases like this say much of amything about you at all?

Yeah VW's are up there. My wife had a Bug and her little 13" Macbook haha. I see a lot of Bugs around here (and other VW's) with Apple stickers on them.

Isn't that the Turkish flag? I'm pretty certain that it is.. but if it isn't my bad.. I would assume that he/she lives in Turkey(or Morocco). And the with EU license plate, but I can't read what it says..

Smart Cars, like the one above. I don't have a license yet, but that's the one that I'm going to want when I get a car.

I'd say this is as much Mac Car as it gets:

Macinsmart.com check out some of the interior pics. Crazy stuff... Inside there is a Mini connected to a Touchscreen for the head unit..

I dunno - the one you found looks classy compared to this one:

I just traded my VW in on a Pathfinder. But a car's a car.

My last bike was a Honda RC51 and I'm trying to sell off some wheels to purchase a Suzuki TL1000R.

A four cylinder economy car, a motorcycle, a show truck(under construction), and a race car(under construction)..? LOL

Ignore the brand and just look at what they are. I'd say its pretty diverse. Most people stick with fuel economy cars, race cars, or show cars. They don't usually have all. Thats just from the people I know though.

ah, but your selection is almost necessary, no? you have a project car, so you need a truck to haul parts and most likley a trailer. you can't drive the truck everywhere, where's the fun in that? so you have a little 'fun' compact. and, siince you obviously like speed - you also have a bike...

man, i feel like columbo. :)

and it's still three fords. :D :D :D

Well, when all you have is Fords, you need to have at least 2 to improve your chances of actually getting somewhere ;p

Fix or repair Daily! I love this 1995 Crown Vic. Big and beautiful on the outside, coffee stains on the inside.

From the past 10 years about 90% of Fords are still on the road, the other 10% made it home.

That's a bit harsh. Fiestas are pretty sturdy beasts! I love mine to bits and it's 14 years old with 109000 miles on the clock - and the engine is in IMMACULATE condition.
