Two Macs, One XP
I've purchased a new GPS unit that supports OSX Leopard. There are several downloads I'll be using from this link:
http://www8.garmin.com/macosx
Will these install as separate applications or can I put them in a single folder to reduce clutter?
I know how Windoze handles file folders, I'm just not sure how to set these up on my Macbook Pro. I'll be downloading about six applications.
Can I nest them all in the same folder and name it Garmin?
Thanks for any tips.
Best,
Treeman

Way... way too many specs to list.
I use wget, but that's a command line tool I had to install on my mac anyway. Worst case scenario there is always this solution... someone else may have an easier one.

Yes, for apps of this type, you can do exactly that. Just create a folder and put associated items there. For some special use items like these, it makes sense (at least for me) to put them in an "Applications" folder in your user home rather than in the system wide Applications folder.
