hello!

Quick question...if I was to buy a sat nav with Bluetooth calling, would I be able to use my iPhone with this?

Thanks,

Sunny

You should, I paired my non-Apple bluetooth earpiece in seconds with my iPhone 3G. Though I would ask the manufacturer or vendor to be certain so you don't get screwed.

I am not completely sure if iPhone is capable of GPS Navigation through an external receiver. I am assuming this because, the iPhones bluetooth services are strongly limited to Headset connection, and I BELIEVE bluetooth stereo.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I had a search around, it seems people are having varying levels of success when trying to pair the iphone with a sat nav.

If anyone has paired their iphone successfully with a sat nav unit, i'd be interested to know which model they are using.

Thanks again,

Sunny

You can now listen to your Voice Mail / Voice Messages through your Bluetooth!!!!!!!
If you are on a call and start YouTube or some other game in the foreground, the audio is broadcasted through the Bluetooth. This is most likely a bug, but I believe that A2DP is coming soon. I believe if those features are coming, then Blootuth for Nav should be as well.

I have two Garmins, an 880 and a 680 and both pair up perfectly with my two 3G iPhones. I can take and make calls all from the screen of my GPS.
