Password protect USB drive for mac and PC

Hi, I had a major panic earlier when I lost my USB stick at work. I managed to retrace my steps and find it. It does have some personal data on there which I do need throughout the day.

I access the stick on my mac and on the works PC's.

Is there an application which will enable me to password protect the USB device without it needing to be installed on the machine and which will work on both mac and PC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the apps i've seen that come with some drives are for pc... have not seen one for mac, but there may be some.

Works on both OS X and Windows.
Use it all the time and you do not need to worry at all about your information being disclosed once it's on the stick.
Once small thing .... you need to initialise it on a windows based PC once.
