CD/DVD Drive Bay making mechanical noises

Yea... I'm pretty certain that other macbook pros don't do this. When I open my macbook the cd/dvd drive bay makes mechanical noises, quiet enough to be discreet but loud enough to for me to hear clear as daylight. This is very constant, as in this happens every time I open it, and it also happens when I unplug the power chord (the lid is closed). This is kinda strange since I've never heard any of my friend's macs do this. My mac is only a couple months old.

Anyways, hope someone knows something about this issue. Either way, thank you for your time!

any thoughts at all? Nothing has been failing or incredibly weird, I'm just worried if something like this might have a negative long term effect.
