I bought the new Touch this evening and have been trying to log onto a couple of financial sites in the UK like ADVFN and MoneyAM which require java for live streaming prices. One site is asking me to install it, and the other appears just not to work at all. Settings are showing javascript is on. Does anyone know if there's anything else I can do to make these sites work fully? Other than that the thing is marvelous. Many thanks.

Firstly Java is a totally different technology to javascript!

Secondly the iPhone/iPod touch do not support Java. (Apple's decision)

Thanks Del, I wasn't aware of the difference, you've given me a clear answer and have saved me going back to the high street this weekend.

On another note I've found that one of the sites I use, IG Index, has arranged its trading platform to fit into the iPhone and iPod Touch, so at least one company realises that some of us use these things. Cheers.
