Avast anti virus for Leopard 10.5 HELP!

2008 Mac Book Pro, IMac Yosemite OS 10.10.5
I just downloaded the new virus protection from Apple Store. Does anyone know what file paths to add and in which order? There wasn't any instructions, and being not too computer savvy I but in several. Actually I dont know what I'm doing!!!
