Where is my Internet audio

Okay
So I was showing the wife some stuff on youtube using our dvi adapter to our tv. Everything was going great, we watched a few videos and then audio went out. I shut down the computer and still nothing...
Itunes still works but nothing on the internet with audio comes through my speakers (whether I am hooked up to the TV or not).
anyone?
Oh it is a MAcbook Pro

but the audio output dialog box cannot be clicked in, it just has the words "output is not supported" greyed out...

please move to notebooks if possible
