Need to install a firewire card into an old g3 powerPC 333mhz Anyone know if this is gonna be suitable?

It's to get my files off this machine and onto my g5 - the g3 only has scsi you see - yet I need the scsi adapter to run the scanner I'm using....all very complicated

Thanks in advance

Alternative suggestion ... are you going to keep that old G3 or discard it? If it's headed eventually for the trash, why not pull the hard drive from it and hook it up to your G5 with a IDE(ATA)-USB adaptor kit, cost about US$15. If you're going to keep the G3 for using with the scanner, then just pop that hard drive back in. Those G3s are simple to work on.

yeah, need to keep the g3 to run the scanner because of the scsi. Don't really want to be moving the hard drive around.
