Graphics problem?

Hi,

Had my macbook since february with no problems except recently I've had a few glitches with the background or when I suddenly switch programmes... easier to show you so here goes:

Anyone have an idea what causes this and how to rectify?

Looks like it could be a bad graphics chip on your logic board. Since you've had it less than a year, I would take it back to an Apple Store and have them check it out for you.
