2.2GHz macbook upgraded to 4 gigabites of ram then replaced the hard drive with a 320gb 7200 rpm. Now I have a slightly noisy macbook
When you change your HDD from 5400 to 7200 is there a change that your MacBook will become warmer?
Seagate Momentus 7200.3 7200RPM **SATA** Notebook drive with 16MB Cache. There some vibration from the new hard drive and a whirring sound that I did not hear with the original drive. The problem is not unbearable but something to consider if anyone is thinking about upgrading their hard drive. I did not notice the MacBook getting any hotter.
