Not trying to sway people to other Mac forums, but what non-computer boards do you lurk or have found to be useful in the scheme of life. Do you visit boards related to other interests that support your field of work or hobby? I'm sure some of y'all go to photography boards, etc.

Yes, I am nosey.

Hmmm that is some private info you're asking for there.

Haha, just kidding. I'll tell.

Joel Fan (a billy joel forum)
http://www.joelfan.com/forum/

The rhymezone forum (a good place for poets and writers)
http://www.rhymezone.com/ (the site)
http://www.poemzone.com/f/ultimatebb.cgi (The forum)

A Starcraft 2 forum (it's a yet to be released computer game)
http://www.starcraft2forum.org/

A cooks.com forum (I usually look there more than post for ideas for work as I am a chef)
http://forum.cooks.com/fourweb/wbpx.dll/~cooks

Just waiting for the Brisbane Lions to have a forum up. Then I'll be going there a bit. As I get all my AFL news there.

And this one (mac-forums)

They're the mains ones I go on.

I'm always on my car forums:

www.Srtforums.com

I use to own a 2005 Dodge SRT-4, and was always on the site, reading up on upgrades and random things about the car. Well It's hard to quit an addiction, and Srt forums, and this one, is a HUGE addiction.

Well, I'm a pretty big nerd.
I love the LOST forums (TV show)

I love to google searches on some of my favorite trilogies in hopes that they might squeeze in a prequel somewhere.

I love photography forums, not any in particular. I mostly visit youtube for instructional videos before heading to a MB for tutorials.

I love the Pioneer Woman website. She is all around fab and has some nice recipes.

But, most of all, I frequent paper crafting websites, multiple time a day. This is related to my profession. I want to know the latest greatest and it helps me keep my work/articles up to date. These are the best b/c they include recipes, photography, printer stuff, sales, and overall girlie stuff. Some guys go there too, but it's predominately girls.

I like to check out my favorite bands and hear new releases too.

hehehe!
In High school I was more well rounded. I was really popular but I was nice to everybody. I liked different styles except for the occasional fashion faux pas. But, later on, I just found what I liked and I didn't really care what people thought. Now, i don't like to leave my house looking crazy, I am a lady, but I like to go against the grain.

I visit DV info (dvinfo.net/conf) forums pretty often. I mostly read than post but I post a good amount I guess. That forum and this forum are the only ones I visit because they are the only ones that have a good amount of nice people and don't talk down to the newer members.

Well, I'm top poster at www.timesplitters4.net. I've all the sudden slowed down on there though. I've recently started to post at www.ubuntuforums.com. I've stopped posting in many places. Don't want to get bored with them. lol

I'm on http://www.conniggulden.com/Forum/phpBB3/ , a forum that is owned by Conn Iggulden, IMO a great author, I would well advise those people into his books to join- and those not to read them! Typically historical fiction on: Genghis Khan and Julius Caeser.

Since I live in the great province of British Columbia on the glorious west coast of Canada we have a lot of backroads/4 wheel drive trails that can take you places you can't see from the mainroads. I own a Jeep. great capable SUV that goes anywhere. So, I hang out on the following boards the last one isn't so kid friendly in a sense.

BC Jeep Club
http://www.bcjeepclub.ca
Lots of Jeep related stuff, also event planning and the such carnage section

BC 4X4
http://bb.bc4x4.com/index.php
More event planning, loads of technical info and whatnot seems to lacking a carnage section

And finally, the hangout alas. not so kid friendly but it's great
http://www.funinbc.com/forum/index.php scads of events goin on, rag tag meets, wheelin fun, carnage section you break it, show it. found my latest Jeep on here too !

if you're on those I'm surprised you're not on pirate as well..

that being said most of the time I'm not here (and I'm actually on a board) I'm on woodworking boards, either woodnet, knots, lumberjocks etc.

Pirate4X4 doesn't do it for me....not enough local focus like the BCJC and FIBC....I like the local slant.....much more informative to my area
