Does anyone else notice a bit more HDD noise when running Windows via bootcamp? When I'm running just OSX my comp is pretty much totally silent, however, when I'm running bootcamp. It seems that the HDD is working alot harder than normal. Sounds like a lot of seeking/buffering or something. It never dies down, not even after everything is booted up and no processes are running.

I have a 30GB partition for XP btw.

Id say that you need to clear out more space on your HDD...

Some times if a file gets deleted or moved, a HDD will continue to look for it, that could be why you are getting a high noise. The disk in the HDD will continue spinning until it finds it.

I suggest re-installing boot windows on bootcamp.

Good luck
