A question about windows.

Hey guys,

So I got a MacBook White 2,4 yesterday (I Love it already!) and now I'm wondering, what should I install through bootcamp, WinXP or Vista. I need either one of these for my schoolwork since they require windows applications but I'm not sure wether to take XP or Vista, the MacBook has 2gigs of RAM.

Wgat windows applications do you need to use?
Maybe there is a mac equivalent?
I would use XP, but you need to have a copy of XP to install it.
With 2 gigs you could use a virtual machine ie parallels/VM fusion or virtualbox.
or just install bootcamp.

XP has a lot smaller of a footprint, so that would be my recommendation. There really is no advantage to installing Vista, unless you need to play games that require DX10.

I just installed winXP for the same reason. for some reason it's absolutely necessary to use office 2007 in my infosystems class, but anyways I say go with XP for the smaller footprint and uses less resources. If you need windows for the same reason as me XP will do a good job.

Vista is cool and all, but when it comes down to productivity the cons out weigh the pros. XP is your best bet.
