hey i was just wondering if its good to always leave it plugged in, even when fully charged, because it gets really hot. is this could for the computer or battery?

How hot? Give us some idea of temperature. If your MBP is plugged in to the AC main and not doing any intensive computing, it shouldn't be getting hot.
