cheapskate alert,i bought a used 1.4 G4 mini that the owner had loaded with Leopard its painfully slow and is my first mac machine. The hardware question:Can i remove the 80G hard drive(to save leopard)and put it into another "newer "old mini? My 1.4 is maxed out as far as ram upgrades and can pick up another mini for just a little more than a licensed copy of leopard and have more upgrade potential.I know ive set myself up for an ethics lecture but im PC guy(running Ubuntu- vista badddd) and enjoy hardware tinkering thanks.

Not withstanding the "ethics" lecture, yes it can be done. But note that you'll still need a licensed copy of Leopard.

Regards.
