Garage Band will not load?

Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz, 4gig RAM; iPhone 4; iPad-2
Hi all,

I am new to Mac so please excuse my lake of knowledge (Mac Book Pro).

I am unable to start Garage Band. I had Pro Tools LE loaded onto the system and ever since then I've been unable to load Garage Band. I have re-installed the OS and still nothing.

Has anyone got any ideas?
