I'm finally about to switch over to a Mac and am looking to get a 2.4Ghz MacBook with 4 GB RAM...

I was wondering if Capture NX 2 and Aperture 2 work well on a MacBook or if I'll have any problems?

Anyone with any experience?

P.s. A MBP or iMac is not an option for me..

If you are talking about speed, then there is nothing to worry about at all.

You will have plenty of performance available for both programs.

Whilst my Macbook with 2 gig of ram was able to run Aperture2 quite well, it does run noticably slower on the Macbook than what it does on my Mac Pro

Well, I just picked up the MacBook.. Haven't installed aperture or nX2 yet... But when I tried saving some photographs and opened them, they did not "fit to screen" as in windows...

They seem to open in a small window which can't be expanded to full screen..

How do you get around that???

Thanks for the help..

Cheers!

Ummmmmmmmmmm how did you open them in a small window?

Was it in the preview app?

or in finder?

if in finder then open it in a photo viewer piece of software eg preview, aperture, iphoto, iview media pro etc etc

figured it out.. every application that i open, opens in a small window, which then needs to be "stretched" using the bottom right edge... cool stuff!!! had my MB for a few hours and really enjoying it! leaving for a 2 week holiday unfortunately and severely tempted to carry it along.. but the wife won't have any of that :)

cheers!
