deleting icons off the menu bar

a few weeks ago i purchased the mybook external harddrive. for some reason i loaded the software and now i have the trial version of the Memeo Life Agent running in the background. it's stuck on my menu bar and there is no way of getting it off. i even deleted the application and it still wont go away.
is there a way to delete icons from the menu bar or am i just stuck with it?

Try holding down the Command Key and then dragging it off the bar and letting it go. Command is right next to the spacebar and the Option (ALT) key. Be sure to hold down Command first before you click and drag and drop.

You did use the UnInstaller that comes with that software?

You might also try SysPrefs > Accounts > Startup Items
