I've noticed that my 3G gets really laggy with commands much of the time with doing things like selecting a name, scrolling, and even simply typing letters into text messages. Also, my GPS has been absolutely terrible since "upgrading" from 2.0 I've heard others complain about the GPS, but haven't seen anything on the really laggy response to commands/selections. Since my auto dim is definitely not working, so I'm taking it in sometime soon to hopefully get it replaced.

Anyone else having these problenms or any others?

I've seen a bit of lag with contacts but have experienced none with texting or other keyboard functions or scrolling. I've had no issues with my GPS, but I don't use it much either.

My GPS hasn't had any issues. The auto-brightness feature on my 3G definitely doesn't work properly, though. There'll be times when I'm using the phone in the dark and out of the blue, the screen gets much brighter. There's no real rhyme or reason to it, just seems flaky. I've since disabled auto-brightness and chose the best compromise in brightness level.

I have no issues with the phone itself. I have an issue with AT&T's 3G coverage

I don't have any real big issues with AT&T, but I will say that of the 4 major carriers available to me (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mo, AT&T), AT&T is easily the worst in dropped calls and call quality.

I used to have great service back on the east coast. But here on the west coast it's a bit more iffy. 3G isn't as ubiquitous despite AT&T's claims of full coverage in my area. The latest 2.0.2 update seems to have fixed the dropped calls issue I was having when I first moved into my new apartment. Since Apple has fixed my big issue, it looks like AT&T currently bears the full brunt of my discontent. ;P

Agreed. They need to get off their butts and deliver on their network promises.

No software/ hardware issues,

Did however have some build quality issues with my first White iPhone, the screen wasn't flush, then after about a month of use the metal bezel started to separate near the power button. Called up Apple and they shipped me out a new iPhone, Called them at 11am on Monday, Got the new delivered to my door 12pm the following day.

Anyone can sell you a product, Its how you support the products that don't work properly or aren't built properly that differentiates you from the your competitors.

I have had several Apple products now over 2 years and never have I been disappointed with either A the product or B the service I receive when something goes wrong.

I've had numerous problems such as the texting, dropped calls. I'm especially dissappointed seeing that my v1 iPhone broke 3 days out of warranty and Apple would do nothing but tell me it would cost 200 dollars to repair. I'm pleased with the 3G speed, however, I now get no reception at my house.
