How does one connect to Safari from a pdf document, without

1. Opening the Safari Browzer

2. Copying the URL in the pdf document and then having to paste it into Safari.

3. Press return to open up the URL in Safari.

In windows this is simply done by double clicking the URL and Internet Explorer opens in another window automatically.

If the PDF document actually has a link in it, then clicking on it will open the page in Safari (or Firefox, or whatever.)

If that doesn't happen, then the PDF does not actually contain a link, even though it might look like it does. Lots of PDFs are created with areas of text that look like they should be hyperlinks but aren't.

If the actual URL is present, but not linked (eg. http://www.mac-forums.com/) then you can highlight it and choose Preview > Services > Open URL to force the system to recognize the URL.
