Archiving files problem

Dear Mac Forums,

I am unable to "create archive" of any of my files (word and pdf etc) in a G4. I have Stuff It Expander installed but every time I try to compress a file I get the following message "The archive's list of contents cannot be created."

Would be very glad to know how to go around/solve this?

1.remove the stuffit expander in your mac using clean app , make sure your mac is clean from this software...

2.restart you mac ,

3.after you've finish restarting your mac , try to install again the stuffit expander on your mac....
