I am tired of dealing with other people to make music. I'm just going to track my own songs myself, see if anyone is interested in playing it, and go from there. My friend using Hammerhead with good results, but it seems it's Windows-only. Any good, easy-to-understand drum programs for Macs? Free would be a plus.

Garageband works great for sequencing Midi drums, only bummer is you can't output a midi file if you need to load it somewhere else. I'd look at Drumkit From **** for Mac, that program kills.

Garageband is pretty good, and you can easily record your loops as samples to import into bigger/better DAPs later on.
