Hi all--
I'm trying to figure out the best way for me to get online given a couple limiting factors that I have.
-There's no landline at my apt. (I have phone jacks in the walls, but no line)
-My networking port is broken. (My cat knocked over my laptop and it stopped working; the cost to repair is almost the price of a new laptop.)
-I'm cheap (read as: broke).
I've been leeching unreliable wifi via AirPort, but if there's a way for me to reliably get online that I'm overlooking (like maybe something that would use a USB port instead of the networking one), then that'd be great. I think I could probably get cable internet and plug it into the router so my computer wouldn't have to be involved, but I'm not yet sure if that would work or if there's a cheaper way to do it.
Thanks!
