Hi everybody,

My friend is an addicted Safari fan. He believes that it is the best browser ever. Me and my friends want to convince him that this is not the case. Showing him articles and blogs have not helped! Anybody can give me a tip on how to slow down the software, or make it simply not working for a couple of days;D

Cheers

If it works for him and it suits his needs, what does it matter?

Agreed. So what if he likes it? Why does it bother you?

Thanks guys for spiritual advises.

It's just a silly joke. Promise would not start 3rd world war for that. I really, really promise. No bombings. OK?

Let the poor bloke be happy with what works for him - and who cares if you don't think it's the best? I drive an ancient Fiesta, it's not the best but I love it all the same.

Tell him to view sites properly he needs to sell his Mac and purchase a Vista Machine with IE and that IE is the best and most WEB Standard Compliant browser in the world.

In all seriousness, Let him be. He has a right to use and like what he wants.

I use Safari for 99% of what I do on the WEB. Try and convince me it's a bad browser. I know browsers having used everything from Mosaic, Early Netscape, Opera since the beginning on OS2, Linux, Windows and Mac OS and pretty much every major browser out there and I use Safari for most browsing. I also know Web Standards and which browsers are not very compliant to the standards.

I saw it in a back alley one night, selling some smack to some punk rocker. Seems bad to me.

I actually recently switched to Firefox (from Safari) solely for the ability to run AdBlock Plus because every forum I visit is now using masive banner ads. With OS 10.5 you can run AdBlock Plus on Safari. I'm still using 10.4.11.

Believe it or not it is still around! It was the first totally skinnable browser, and yes, it was so much fun!
