Hello, I have a question regarding burning DVD's. My Macbook is the base model , and therefore do not have a super drive. This means I can't burn DVD's! Is there a way I can get a super drive? Or is this "The End". Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you

Forum Shark,

You could buy an external USB (or possibly Firewire) burner. I don't think you can replace the burner unless you have Apple do it for you, UNLESS yours is out of warranty and you want to try to replace it yourself. You can go to www.ifixit.com and select Macbook>Optical Drives and then your model of Macbook and check out some different opticals you could install yourself. They also provide installation instructions for you...

Thanks. Do Apple stores sell external ones? How much do they cost? Thank you very much for your help, Noels.
