Hey, You might (or might not) remember me, I made a thread a few months ago about MacBook Pro's for uni, but I decided to get a White MacBook. 2.1GHz with 2GB of Ram for uni after getting further Advice from an Apple specialist at a "Personal Shopper" appointment.
Anywhoooo... That's not what the threads about (as you can guess from the title)
After seeing some really excellent customer service at the Apple store in Liverpool One I've been thinking about applying for a job there, but I just wanted to see if anyone here works for Apple. I've got a couple of questions:

- Are their flexible working hours for students? (Like just weekends/nights)
- Whats the pay like?
- How do you Apply?
- What're the interviews like?
- Do you get trained in depth about Apple macs (obviously I know you get trained for the customer service, I was just wondering whether you already needed to know about them before hand)

Generally speaking i'd just like some "inside info" from someone who already works there please, it'd be very helpful!
Many thanks, and apologise if this is in the wrong section.

I would agree with DoneDeal regarding asking for more info in store.

Jobs can be found on Apple.com/uk site - link is at the bottom of the page.

This link may work if it is not session based: clicky.

I agree you should go to a store and ask.

And for insider information, once you work at apple you can't be on forums like this, at least that's what people at the Apple store tell me..

I applied once and got an interview.

apply here

http://www.apple.com/jobs/us/index.html

the interview was odd.... laid back.... people wore jeans with holes in them, unshaved... nose rings, tattoos.... very laid back.... could likely wear your PJ's if you wanted.

be prepared to stand in front of the room/others and role play.... they had a shoe box with stuff in it... cell phones, etc.... odds and ends in the box.... your job was to pick an item out, and tell everyone why this item is the HOT item and you need to buy one.

that is only one thing I recall about the interview...

LOL I had to do that for a Public Speaking class twice. >_>" Except we didn't get to see the item the second time. Wow it was pretty shocking because I pulled out a poster of Arnold in his bodybuilding days. >_<""" That was not cool.
