My mouse pointer keeps hiding...

i need help!!!!!!
when im using my macbook, my pointer keeps disappearing...
it happens on ALL applications and even as i am typing now...
EVEN ON THE DESKTOP!
now this is annoying me A LOT
please give me some suggestions...

btw its leopard, 10.5

May I ask if you are using an external (laser) mouse? If so, this might be a simple matter of its needing cleaning.

I'm not sitting in front of my macbook right now but i think I remember seeing a setting under System Preferences ~~> Mouse & Keyboard ~~> Trackpad?

There should be a setting that says "hide mouse while typing" or something to that effect. Give that a shot and see if that works. If it isn't under trackpad it's under one of the tabs in Mouse & Keyboard
