i have a WS-311M digital recorder and i've recorded files with it but no matter what type of file i convert them to they still won't play on itunes. i've tried windows media players but i don't think it will work with transferring to an ipod...

any suggestions? thanks!

the files off of the recorder were originally .wma and worked on quick time, but that didn't work so i tried changing them into .mp3, .mp4a, and .flac files and still nothing happened.

cant you just drag them in to iTunes itself, I think iTunes does the conversion for you

just tried it and you are right, nothing happened

tries FFmpeg movie converter and it worked (choose convert audio to mp3 in the export option)

http://ffmpegX.com/

make sure you download both ffmpeg and its extra components, see page above
