software update error mesg?

when i go to update my macbook i get this error mesg saying
none of the checked updates could be saved a networking error has occurred cannot open file (-3001) mak sure you can connect to internet then try agian


that what it say but im plug in to my router hardwire and i have internt

Check your firewall in System preferences>Security and see if it allows incoming connections to your browser (where you get your updates). I was having the same problem until I set "Access for specific services and applications" and added Firefox to allow incoming connections. I believe that made the difference.
