Syncing Issues?

Black Macbook 2.4GHz
Just lately, syncing my original iPhone with my Macbook 2.4 With Leopard takes a really long time. I come back 15 minutes later, and it says it's still trying to Backing Up... what would cause this? I don't have any extreme Photo folders... any insight would be great! :( iPhone is 2.0.1 software version.

Apparently 2.0.2 is available, and while the update took quite a while, it seemed to have fixed the problem. :)
