10.5.1 can't see my WD external drive

My mac mini with 10.5.1 can't recognize my 500 gb external WD drive that is extended/journaled.

My macbook running 10.4.1 can see it just fine.

I'll probably just erase it and start over. Still, kind of weird.

Apparently this is a common problem. Oh well.
