Hey

Im really curious to no how to get your avatar looking like 'Schweb' he is a Mac Forum Administrator he has the Coda icon.

Im wondering how do i get e.g. the iTunes icon and put it as my avatar without the border.

This is the way i though you could do it go to apps, copy the iTunes icon, Open preview, file, new from clipboard and then save it as a PNG file and then upload it, well i do that and when i upload it to Mac Forums it has the white border around it.

HELP!

Please anybody reading this just pop a comment on.

Thanks
Mathematical

You probably need to save it as a gif or png file

Are you sure it isn't working? I tested it and it seems to work when I put it on a black background on a webpage.

Well in any case try this and see if it works.

What crimson attached should work.

The reason why the border is still there when you save it as a png is because you haven't deleted the border...

You actually need to delete all the "background" and then save it as a .png so that the background remains transparent.

I'm not entirely photoshop savvy, but you do it via photoshop or another photo-editing program. There should be tutorials on the web just by a simple search.

Try Adobe. Or just have someone do it for you as a favor. Not sure if purchasing photoshop for the sake of making itunes transparent is worth it. :p

Umm didn't check if it works or not, but I guess it does. I dragged it around and didn't see a white background on it. What did you do to it? It looks like the disk got chipped. >_<""

Blah! You're right :Shouting:

I chipped the side of the disk. :Angry-Tongue:

I didn't notice it in PS.
