Applescript to solve problem

Hi there, I hate the fact that when my Skype starts on system startup it doesn't "hide" even though its set to. I googled it and lots of people are complaining about it, and it doesn't seem to have an easy fix. Now I'm wondering if its not possible to write an Applescript to open the program and then the cmd+h to hide it? Any help welcome!
