Dreamweaver problem after osx reinstall

Hello all. . .

I had to reinstall OSX last nite and when I tried to run Dreamweaver, I got Dreamweaver's bouncing icon in the dock and then it disappeared.

Any ideas as to why and what I can do to get Dreamweaver back before I go through the hassle of reinstalling Dreamweaver.

Thanks, cyclist

This may seem like a broken record, but did you run repair permissions after you finished the install?

This is a known Macromedia issue. You'll need to delete the following two folders and reactivate Dreamweaver:

/Library/Application Support/Macrovision
/Library/Preferences/Macrovision

That should fix your problem.

Thanks for the reply. It seems that Macromedia has a
'hotfix' for this problem. I'll try that first and if it doesn't work, I'll try your suggestion.

Probably the hotfix will do the same as his suggestion - but do it their way anyway...:)
