Hello all...

My fiance and I both got iPhone 3Gs at launch (7/11). Her phone has been just fine and mine has been exchanged a few times for various issues. I noticed on my first phone (and on her current phone) that the ringer switch had/has a lot of resistance when switching it towards the silent position (downward).

On my current iPhone, I noticed that the switch moves a lot more freely and without the resistance that her iPhone or my previous iPhone had; it is a simple click.

My question is....is this normal for her iPhone ringer switch to have high resistance or mine to be more loose? Thx!

Mine is a simple switch both ways, no real resistence to speak of.

It's kind of hard to say without seeing it - you could always go and compare it with the in-store display phones.

Mine is easy enough to switch with my thumb when holding the phone in my left hand - but at the same time, I can't see it accidentally getting switched on.

Thx guys. Does your 'click' when switching it in either direction?

Cheers!
