Having had a disaster with a coffee cup and a keyboard, we bought a new keyboard to attach to our G5 power PC running OSX 10.4.10.
The new thin aluminium keyboard is lovely but the function keys do not seem to work properly. For example the F10, 11 and 12 keys are labelled as sound adjustments but they bring up the dash board display. F1 and F2 are supposed to be the brightness modifiers but appear to have no effect when pressed.
Any suggestions how to fix this? I have managed to remap the dash board keys but still can't work out how to get the others to work.

A thought - is that new keyboard mapped specifically for Leopard?

FWIW, I use a PC keyboard (much cheaper) with Tiger, works fine, some minor adjustments only to be made.
