Hi,
This may be a stupid question BUT, my girlfriend just bought a new MacBook today and it came with a 10.5 install disc.

I have an older 1.83 ghz MacBook Pro with 10.4.11. So I am wondering if I can use this disc to upgrade my OS or if it is just specifically for her MacBook.

Thank you!

They only work with the type of computer they come with, so the macbook disks only work on a macbook.

My friend tried iMac disks on a macbook and it wouldnt work.

A Macbook DVD will not work on a MBP. Also it would be against Apples EULA to use the same copy of 10.5 on 2 systems.
