Would I be able to run OSX my G3? I recently got one for free, I wanna be able to run internet on it via Airport. Is there other way I would run a USB Wi-Fi dongle I have (Netgear)?

You can run older versions of Mac OS X on a G3. You'll probably want to run Panther (v10.3.x) unless it has sufficient RAM and CPU power for Tiger (v10.4.x). What are the specifications?

Sure it will. Just ensure you update the firmware whilst using Classic. Here is a list of the updates for various models. OS X appreciates memory so look to install about 1GB if possible:-

What are the specs on that G3 Mac? Which model is it? CPU speed? Give us a bit more info if you would.

Look for System Profiler in OS9.

Thanks for that. Apparently 233Mhz version with 160 MB memory ahahahaha!

How do you format that system? I put OSX disc into the drive, it can't read it. I wonder whether I have DvD version but I have 2 discs.

I have one of those machines. You need a CD version of the install disks. For panther 10.3. I think there was 4 disks. Dont expect it to be super fast. I use it for iTunes streaming music. I got this wireless adapter from the link below and it works good. You also can put 512MB of RAM in them but its a bit expensive for that machine.
