Capture Screen?

How do I capture the screen as it appears and paste as an image?

Screenshots in Leopard do not work the same way as the Print Screen function on Windows...
In Leopard, when you take a screenshot (Follow D3v1L80Y's links to find out how), it puts the image of your screen as a PNG image on your desktop... You can then do whatever you want with the file...

Come on Guys - Just hand over the shortcuts

Shift+Command+3 - Full Screen Capture
Shift+Command+4 - Selectable Capture

and if you press spacebar after hitting cmd-shift-4, the crosshairs will change to a camera allowing you to take a picture of an individual window...

The sticky thread I linked to is "sticky" for a reason... so answers to commonly asked questions don't have to be continually posted.
