Backing Up HD of a Dead Logic Board iMac???

Hey Guys, I'm a long time mac user but first time poster. i have a iMac G5 20" Logic Board 2.0 GHz, Ambient Light Sensor that is dead cause the logic board went. I have a new aluminum iMac. Is there anyway of hookin the HD straight to the new Imac and back everything up. Whats the best way? Thanks alot

You could remove the hard drive from the dead G5 and place it in an external USB or Firewire hard drive enclosure. Hook the drive\enclosure to your new iMac and backup all the data to either your internal hard drive or DVDs.

That's what I would try to do as well, it might be your only option too.
