Re: Macbook Pro: Is the VGA upgradable

Got a Macbook Pro 15" with Nvidia 8600M with 256MG video memory. I didn't think the extra $450 to get more Vmem was worth it. Can I add more memory to the card or perhaps upgrade it?

Chances of replacing the graphics card is next to impossible. It is tightly integrated into the motherboard.

My understanding is that this is impossible. It is equally impossible to upgrade your CPU. Sorry! :) I also got the 256mb card, and so far I haven't noticed that I would want/need anymore. I don't do anything graphics intensive, and the few games I've tried out all seem to run smoothly.
