Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has, or has used an iBook G3 500 that has the FSB changed from the default 66mhz to 100mhz via the HARDWARE modification of moving resistor locations?

I am just curious if in your opinion it is actually a worthwhile task. I have plenty of experience soldering small circuitry, so I am not concearned about that. Im more concearned whether or not its worth the time to do vs. the performance gain. If I was to do it, I would not overclock the cpu speed, just the FSB, so I would be running 500mhz cpu/100mhz FSB vs. its current factory state of 500/66.

So the bottom line question is how much of a performance gain should I expect? A few percent? Ten Percent? More?

Let me know your thoughts...

Thanks in advance!
